Midland Conventional Radios
For those unfamiliar with the term conventional radios, we should explain that this is the industry classification of non-digital radios. These are the radios that most of us are now using since digital radios are relatively new outside the federal government sector and some very large metropolitan areas. Analog radios will be with us for a long, long time - perhaps through 2018 if FCC rules governing the use of private 2-way radio are not changed.
Falcon Direct deals primarily with business, industrial, and governmental users. Therefore we are not involved with consumer grade radios classed as CB, FRS, or GMRS which are also non-digital analog radios nor do we deal with Aviation or Marine radios. However, Midland Radio is a major provider of these radios as well as a full line of telemetry products. If you have a need in consumer, avaition, or marine radios, give us a call locally at 205.854.2611 or nationwide toll free at 800.489.2611. We'll be glad to help in any way possible, but for now, let's address the items of primary interest to those we serve.

Conventional, or Land Mobile Radios (LMR) are available in handheld portable, mobile, fixed and repeater station models. Without going into a lot of detail, we will just say for now that there are two basic classifications of mobiles - the inexpensive dash mount ML & MO Series and the high powered full featured Titan Series, one of the few 100 watt mobiles available today and one of even fewer offerings for the low band (30-50 MHz) range. Dual band and cross band models are also available.
The companion to the Titan mobile is the 71 Series base station and repeater models. The PL and SP series handheld portables complete the conventional product line. For additional product and pricing information, please see the Product Pricing section on this web site.
